Today the ABC announced that Stella Young died over the weekend. She was a brilliant comedian and a wonderful disability activist. The world will miss her. If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you watch her TED talk. She was not our inspiration, but she made the world a better place.
There will be a Public Memorial Service for her on Friday at 11am at the Melbourne Town Hall. Please visit Arts Access for accessibility and transport information. No need to RSVP. The service will be simulcast live at Federation Square, ABC News 24 and 774 ABC Victoria. Dress code: little to no black, but many bright colours and red and white spots if possible!
